Import project in code composer 5.3 copy to workspace

Hi,

I'm trying to import a project (cloned from git repo) into code composer 5.3.0.

There are 2 projects in the git repo. One of them imports just fine, the other project insists on being copied to my workspace,

This breaks compiling and disconnects it from git.

Is there a setting somewhere in the project files that mandates this? Or  how can I get around this obstacle?

Regards,

Mads

  • Hi Mads,

have you tried a fresh workspace?  How have you been trying to do the import?  Are you using a specific GIT plugin?  What are some things that might be different in the two cases?  Ie settings, permissions, etc

    Can you provide more details?

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa

I have just tried a fresh workspace. I have not installed any other plugins in code composer. The git repo hase been cloned via windows git.

The project that works, is the cm3 driverlib from stellarisware. The project that does not work has been created with code composer 4.2.4 by a coworker. I know it uses links to folders outside the project.

I use the "Import existing CCS project" via the Project menu, and browse the filesystem to where the projects are stored.

    Best regards,

    Mads

  • Hi Mads,

havs the project been imported before being put in the repsoitroy?  Can you provide further details?  I believe CCS does have a built in GIT plug in but there are various versions of GIT.  Have you double checked the read/write permissions in the two cases?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
