Windows 7: Registry keys for CCS3.3

Hello,

In some of our projects we are still using CCS3.3.

In the meantime more and more of our computers are working with Windows 7. This has led to some problems, e.g. it’s necessary to start CCS3.3 as an administrator. Because of our company’s IT security policy this is just a temporary workaround. But it would be possible to give the necessary rights to the dedicated registry keys.

Which of them are needed by CCS3.3 and where can they be found in the registry?

Thank you and best regards

E. R.

  • Hello E.R.,

As you know, we do not support or recommend running CCS 3.x (and earlier) on Windows 7. People are strongly encouraged to move to CCSv4 and greater. Of course this is easier said than done and many still use CCSv3.x on Windows 7.

The majority of the registry entries used by CCSv3.3 are in:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Texas Instruments

There is also a wiki on some suggestions on running CCS on Windows 7:

    Good luck

"The call to idelink_ert_make_rtw_hook, during the entry hook generated the following error: Could not connect to the board specified in Target Preferences block.

The build process will terminate as a result.

Could not obtain board configuration from Code Composer Studio™. Make sure that Code Composer Studio is installed and properly registered.

    Error map is empty."

I use MatlabR2011b and I have the embedded Coder." i have followed  your  suggestions stated above but it is not connected.

now how can i solve this problem? Thank you.
