CCS 5.3 Update: Eclipse installation failed

Hi,

I have Code Composer 5.2.0.00069 running on my Win7 64-Bit machine. When I try to update to CCS 5.3 (update & full offline install) it failes an I get the message the the Eclipse installation has failed.

I have attached the log file from \Program Files (x86)\InstallJammer Registry\ccsv5\

It says something about conflicting dependency. I really have no idea what this means.

Thanks for your help

Regards Fabian

  • Hi Fabian,

thanks for that.  Can you please do the following, please try again after disabling the eclipse juno update site.   This is done in Window->PReferences->Install/Update->Available Software sites.

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi,

thanks for the quick reply. Actually I don't have any Eclipse Juno update site in CCS

I have attached a screenshot of my available software sites:

I also downloaded the offline installation from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS. This causes the same Error.

    Regards Fabian

  • Hi Fabian,

it looks like the installer is running in "rerun" mode.   This has a few known issues unfortunately.  Would you please try the following

    - remove the previous installation including installjammer registry contents.  You can do this manually

    - install the currently posted v5.3 from the full installer.  Please be sure to unzip fully first and do not use any directories with spaces or accented/special characters.

Please keep us informed how that goes.

    Best Regards,

    LIsa

  • Hi Fabian,
