CCS v5.3 Update Problem

After updating my software yesterday from v5.2 to v5.3 and now whenever I open CCS I get the below error anytime I switch the file I am viewing.

When I view the error log the most recent error I am seeing are shown below:

    Hi Jacob,

    could you please do a couple things. Could you please go into Window->PReferences->Install/Update and in the List of Available Sites disable the eclipse juno site(s).  Could you please send us the logs.  These will be in the installjammer registry directory which is a possibly hidden folder in program files or program files(x86).

    Hi Jake,

    odd that your available sites is blank.  There should be a ccsv5 folder if you would be able to send and zip that it would greatly help.

    I am unaware of how those sites went blank.  Obviously I was able to update the software yesterday so they must not have been blank.

    Jacob,

    From the logs, it looks like you installed CCS while logged in as a user called "Public". When you are running CCS and checking the update site list, are you logged in as the same user?

    I ask because there are some known Eclipse issues with how Eclipse handles the case where the installation folder isn't writable. If you are logged in as a different user, the Windows permissions settings may make the install folder not writable.

    Hello Andy,

    I do not see a mention of the username "Public" in the ccs_update_5.3.0.00090.log file, however I have never had issues prior to this about not have write privileges during an install.

    Please let me know what action to take.

    Jake,

    If I'm looking at the right log, the desktop shortcut is being created in /Users/Public which would usually mean you are logged in as "Public". If there has been a mix-up in the logs, please let me know.

    Is this install being used by multiple users simultaneously?  If it isn't, making the install folder writable by everyone would avoid the problem. If this isn't feasible, I'm going to need to look more closely at the Eclipse shared configuration issues.

    Hello Andy,

    Somehow the directory C:\ti was set to "Read Only" after changing that to be writable I thought I would revert back to my old installation but I got the errors shown below.

    Please let me know what actions should be taken.

    Jake,

    I wasn't clear why you wanted to revert your configuration? If you're still experiencing problems, I think the best course of action would be to delete your current install folder and re-install CCS using the same user that will be running CCS.
