Connecting problem to my omapl138 board with XDS100v2

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

Hi

I am working with a omapl138 chip and I'm trying to program it using XDC100v2 but when I configure the .ccxml file and try to connect to the board the following windows appears !!!

I've added the gel file for both ARM and DSP674x

I've read in FTDI forums that it might be due to EEPROM problem of XDC100 !

would you please tell me whats wrong with my board ?!!

  • Hi,

The first screenshot does not seem to refer to the same configuration as the second, as it only has a C674x core while the other one has the full OMAPL138 device. Can you confirm that you are actually launching the same configuration? Some troubleshooting tips are in the page below:

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCSv4

Also, you can check if there is a problem with your XDS100 by running the xds100serial.exe utility (for its location check question 6.1.9 of the XDS100 page).

At last, if you are using the built-in XDS100 emulator, keep in mind the OMAPL138 board has two USB connectors - J21 is the correct one (J6 is the USB OTG)

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • Dear Rafael at first I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year :)

for your first Question I should say that yes it is the same configuration (but the only difference is that when I wanted to launch the TI debugger I only chose DSP674X+ .

so you saw only one device in the debugger mode )

for the "XDS100 checking" let me check it and reply through this forum (due to my exams I cannot work on the omap nowadays)

anyway thanks for your both answers it helped me a lot
