Update crashed part way through, now can no longer update

I tried updating CCS5.  I was trying to update to v 5.3.  It seemed to be updating many other thigns as well, and crashed part way through.

Now if I try to update I get an error:

Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency

Also I get an error now when I try to do a clean all.  I am not sure if other functionality is broken.

Any ideas?

  • Hi David,

there were some known issues with some of the eclipse updates.   Did you notice if any eclipse juno updates ran?  Could you send the contents of your installjammer registry directory? (this is a possibly hidden folder in program files or program files(x86)).   There have also been some update issues known with older ccsv5 versions.

My best suggestion would actually be a fresh 5.3 installation into a new directory.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • I didn't notice what updated.

I installed 5.3 to a fresh directory, and have many of the following warnings:

warning #16002-D: build attribute vendor section TI missing in

Also, 5.3 seems to not let me change the linker command file to <none>,which is what it was before.  if I change it, and hit OK, once I go back in it is reverted to what it was before.

I will send you the folder with installJammer registry.

Is it possible to do a repair on the installation?

    Thanks,

    David

  • Hi David,

I think the next step will be to see if the logs can point us to what went wrong and go from there.  This will also tell us whether a "repair" is even an option.   You can also send them offline if you would prefer.  My ID is a link you can use to start a conversation/friend request.

    Best Regards,
