CCS problem running target functions (loads code but won't run from debug)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F147

Hi there,

I am using CCS V4.2.3 (4.2.3.00004 ) and am encountering a problem that I haven'nt been able to solve for several hours now. I was given a MSP430F147 board that operates several solenoids for a cooling mechanism. When I initially plugged in the board and the supplied MSP430 USB-Debug-Interface (MSP-FET430UF) worked fine. I ran the debug which compiled and loaded onto the board without any error. I was able to view the registers and memory without a problem. A day later I tried to repeat this to calibrate the unit and could not do so.

When I run the debug the code compiles and loads on to the board reading
"MSP430: Program loaded. Code Size - Text: 5182 bytes Data: 16 bytes"
The board then proceeds to operate as it should but the only available option to interact with the board is "terminate".
The 'run' icon as well as all the other buttons listed under target appear grey and I cannot use them. I cant even step over code at this stage. Previously I was able to run the code and step through it fine.

I am new to CCS so it is probably something I have done in simple error but have had no luck remedying the problem.

Thanks very much for any assistance you might be able to lend.

Regards,
Nic
