Adding Sitara AM335x support as target to existing CCSv5.2

Hello. I installed CCSv5.2 to work with a Stellaris Launchpad kit. Now I need also work with Sitara ARM processors, with the AM335x Starter Kit, but I don't know how to add support for them.

At Sitara web I can download a CCS version (CCS-5.1.1.00033-Sitara-ARM) for Sitara. Does it mean that I need to install ANOTHER CCS version (5.1)? Is ther any eay to add suppport to my curretn CCSV5.2 Launchpad installation?

Thanks in advance. Regards

  • Hi Ignacio,

When you installed CCS previously, were you using the full DVD image from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS?  If so, and you did not installed Sitara support, you can re-run the installation executable and add Sitara support to your current installation.

On the third or fourth dialog box that appears during the installation process, you are presented with a listing of TI device families.  There should be an item listed as AMxx Cortex-A and ARM9 processors.  Make sure that checkbox is selected and continue with the installation to add AM335x support.
