C6670.xml device file missing in CCS 5.3

Hi

In my CCS 5.2 installation I had:

"C:\ti\ccsv5\ccs_base\common\targetdb\devices\C6670.xml"

Having done a clean install of CCS 5.3 (with Processor Support set for ‘C6x DSP + ARM’) that file is now missing.  Other C66x.xml files were also not installed.

Do you know why this is so please?

Furthermore, having copied the missing device file to the CCS5.3 installation, CCS5.3 is still giving an error for my target configuration file:

Description Resource Path Location Type File devices/C6670.xml does not exist.  Was included by file C:/<mypath>/TMDXEVM6670L_5_1_XDS560.ccxml TMDXEVM6670L_5_1_XDS560.ccxml

How can I fix this please?

Best regards

David

  • David,

You need to install support for the "C6000 Multi Core DSPs".  The "C6x + ARM" family is for the devices that have a C6x and an ARM like the Integra devices or OMAPLxxx devices.  You could try rerunning the install and pointing it to the installation you just made to see if it will update it for you but I believe to change family support you will actually have to do a fresh install.

  • Hi John

Thanks for your answer - makes sense now. I will have to spend another afternoon installing the software ;-(
