Basic C66X edma project CCS Import Issue

Hi,

I am facing below issue on importing c66x edma lib project in CCS V5.1.1

project path:edma3_lld_02_11_05_02/packages/ti/sdo/edma3/drv

See details below.   Error: Import failed for project 'ti.sdo.edma3.drv' because its compiler definition is not available. Please contact support.

My Compiler version is 7.3.1

  • Hi Ting Zhang,

can we confirm that you imported the project as a CCS project?  Did you use Project->Import existing CCS/Eclipse project?  Have you tried imported the equivalent example from the resource explorer or tried the latest CCS version (5.3)?

You can see what compilers you have installed into CCS if you go to Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Build->Code Generation TOols.

  • hi Lisa:

        yes,it is imported as a ccs  project,use Project->Import existing CCS/Eclipse project.

Have you tried imported the equivalent example from the resource explorer or tried the latest CCS version (5.3)?

I try the project in fold "ti\edma3_lld_01_11_05_02".there are a lot project ,others can be imported successfully except the two:ti.sdo.edma3.rm and ti.sdo.edma3.drv.

    I have installed two compliers: tms470(ti v4.9.1) and c6000(ti v7.3.1)

    I don't try with ccs v5.3,because I don't have this version.

  • Hi Ting,

I would very strongly recommend moving to v5.3.  First of all there have been a few keystone updates.  You can try to get these via 5.1 however my best recommendation is to give 5.3 a try or at least do a keystone update. You will not need a new license.

Please keep us informed how that works.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Ting,

just thought I would check for any updates with your enquiry.
