"Error 0x80000200/-1135" with eZdspF28335

Hello, I am using a eZdspF28335 board and I am having connectivity problems.

I just bought this kit but I cann't connect to it. I am using CCS  under XP system, and the message on CCS is

Error connecting to the target:

Error 0x80000200/-1135

Fatal Error during: OCS,

Unrecoverable emulation error

I/O Port 540

Board name F28335_eZdsp

CPU name: CPU_0

I am a new user and I don't know what to do.

  • Which version of CCS are you using?

I assume you are using the on-board emulation on the eZdsp. The error message is very generic and the error could be caused by a power loss on the board, a faulty cable, or a device driver issue.

The first thing I would recommend checking is that the F28335 eZdsp device driver is installed properly.  If the emulation drivers are installed properly they should appear in the Device manager. Look for an entry called something like Spectrum Digital eZdsp28xx USB.

You can also use the SdConfig utility to verify the low-level JTAG functionality:

  • I am using CCS v3.3, and I am using the onboard emulation. I re-installed the driver for kit for several times, I can see the kit from the device manager, but I still can not connect to it via CCS.

  • Hi , Thank you for your reply.

Did you use the SDConfig utility from Spectrum Digital to verify low-level JTAG connectivity? If those tests fail then the issue lies at a level even lower than CCS and need to be addressed first before trying the connection with CCS.
