How to add Hercules family support to CCS 5.3.0

what you can do is rerun the installer into the same directory to add support.  Simply select repair/modify.

I've try but the installer says that there is no possibility to add or remove components since CCS has been upgraded.

if you have updated, then you can try the installer for the updated version/current version you have.

If you are unable to add support that way please let me know.

The installer I used to try to add support Hercules is what I used to install CCS, but CCS has downloaded some updates by itself, maybe when I've try to update emulator driver...
Furthermore, I tried to add hercules support also using the help function-> Install new software ... from CCS help menu, selecting all the proposals... without success...

This is bad news!

I have to do this update on multiple computers, if there was a less radical and faster way, I would be happier.

However, I proceed in this way.

Ok. Doing reinstallation I have selected C2000 and Cortex R4, and now CCS (obviously) supports Hercules CPU.

I've run into this as well.  I have CCS installed and updated for MSP430 and Stellaris, but now I want to add Hercules.  And I have no desire to do a full reinstall.  Isn't there simply a URL I can add to the CCS software sources in order to find and pull in support for RM42x?

I can't, because I've already updated online past the currently available installer.  If you could give me the proper repository URL to add for Hercules device support, though, I should be able use the Install New Software feature of CCS to add it on.
