Hi Sagar,

if I understand correctly the license was working previously?  What might have changed?   Have you tried restarting the flexnet services and vendor daemon? 

One tip to check as well is permissions.  Any further information might help us.

Thank You very much for the reply. Yes the license was working previously, nothing was changed. Yes i tried restarting the flexnet services and vendor daemon , but no use. I am attaching the doc file which shows the screen shots of the lmgrad messages, showing tidspssw exited with status 43 <no license file>

Sorry for the late reply,i was absent from last three days. Yes we have re-downloaded and re-read the license file, but no use. We also reinstalled the flexnet software, but still it shows vendor daemon (tidspssw) is down. we are not getting what might be the problem.

I would recommend checking for what might have changed, or possibly become corrupted etc. 

What steps did you take?   How did you input your license file to the flexnet server?  Did the license file move?

Unfortunately without furhter information it is hard to debug.  From the message it seems that somehow the license file is not being found .... this could be a number of reasons - permissions, movement or corruption of the file, file not or improperly input to the license server.

Thank You for the reply. The steps we followed to start the server is as described in wiki. we also tried by ending the lmadmin process and launching the lmtools as given in the thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/55155.aspx. Nothing was changed in the system and the server was running good previously. What changes will effect the server? I am attaching the doc file which shows the steps we followed to start the server.

Hi Sagar,

I see you are trying to use both the web gui and other tool.  Please set the license up in the GUI as directed on the wiki and give that a try.

Thank You for the reply. We uninstalled the flexnet server and again installed as given in wiki page and started the server after reading the re-downloaded license, but still it is showing vendor daemon down. So we killed the lmadmin process as given in the thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/55155.aspx and started the lmtool and started the server, but it still showing vendor daemon down. The steps given in the wiki to setup the server is simple and we followed the same to start the sever, but we are unsable to trace why it is showing vendor daemon down. under which circumstances the vendor daemon will go down?

Hi Sagar,

these things are always difficult to debug, espeically with third party software involved.   If you are following the wiki the only things I can think of at the moment

- antivirus/firewall/permissions?  We have seen people specifically have to add the vendor deamon to an allowed list in windows or an antivirus program

- is the manifest file in the same directory as the instructions

- did you follow the suggestion of using only the gui to set things up?
