Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE
Hello,
I could not find GUI Composer in my installed CCS 5 (in the view tab).
I downloaded the GUI Composer separately, but the application would not run in edit mode.
Can you help please.

Hi Suvajit,
What version of CCS do you have? GUI Composer is available for CCS5.3+. You can find the GUI Composer designer from the "View | GUI Composer" main menu in CCS.

Did you downloaded the GUI Composer runtime? The runtime can be used to run the GUI app that you have created with GUI Composer designer within CCS.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using CCS v5. I cannot find it in "View" tab.
Can I update my CCS to see the GUI Composer?
What are the options now?
regards
SM
You should be able to update to the latest CCS5.3 by going to "Help | Check for updates" in the main menu.
Or download a fresh copy of CCS5.3 from this link. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS, and install it into a separate directory than your existing CCS5 install.
Patrick
Just a note ... please do a fresh ccsv5.3 isntallation. Unfortunately some older versions have seen some update issues.
All the best with development.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Thanks Lisa.
The update didnt work.
I did install fresh ccs5.3 and now can view the GUI composer.
How can I open the GUI source files of the examples in controlsuite?
For example, there is a GUI source file for the Solar Explorer kit which I want to open.

Hi Suvajit,
I don't think controlSUITE has switched over to use GUI Composer for its GUI application, it is still using the existing crosshairs interface. You can launch the GUI application with the TI Resource Explorer view, under the main menu "View | TI Resource Explorer". You can quickly navigate to the Solar Explorer application by entering "solar explorer" in the filter area, the text box above the tree view within the TI Resource Explorer.

Patrick
