  • Hi David,

can you please send the install logs?  These are in the installjammer directory which might be hidden and can be found under program files or program files(x86).

    Best Regards,

    LIsa

  • Lisa

    Atttached is the log file.

    Thanks

    David

  • Hi David,

we are not sure why, but it seems the installer is not finding the unzip utility.  Would you please  look in C:\Users\a0216005\LOCALS~1\Temp\ijtmp_28D7CA59-6C90-44D1-9595-7B6402BD42DE? What are the files/directories there?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Lisa

Please see the screen capture of the file directories. I am using Win7, not Win XP.

    Thanks
    David

  • Hi David,

It looks like the unzip.exe was correctly extracted. I'm not sure why it can't run on your machine and I was wondering if you'd be willing to try running the executable on the command line so we can see if it's something on your machine that's causing the failure?

     C:/Users/a0216005/LOCALS~1/Temp/ijtmp_28D7CA59-6C90-44D1-9595-7B6402BD42DE/unzip.exe -q -o -d "C:/CCSV5/ccsv5" "C:/Users/a0216005/LOCALS~1/Temp/ijtmp_28D7CA59-6C90-44D1-9595-7B6402BD42DE/baserepo/utils.zip"

Another thing you could check: Is C:/CCSV5 a junction?

    Thanks

    Danish Innis

  • I should also have asked if you're using junctions in your TEMP folder path i.e.  C:/Users/a0216005/LOCALS~1/Temp. This can cause problems too.

    Danish

  • Danish

Both C:\CCSV5\ccsv5 and C:\Users\a0216005\Appdata are directories only, not junction.

Please see attached screen capture, the unzip utiliy manages to unzip the file without any error message.

In Win 7, the directories ijtmp_28D7CA59-6C90-44D1-9595-7B6402BD42DE resides under c:\users\a0216005\appdata\local, not C:/Users/a0216005/LOCALS~1/Temp, will this be the problem?

    Thanks
    David

  • Hi David,

That's exactly what the problem is - there seems to be a disconnect between what it thinks the TEMP directory is and what it actually is.

    Could you please:

    1. Check the environment variable TEMP by going to the computer -> properties->advanced->environment variables

    2. Open a cmd prompt and type set and check the value of TEMP

    3. Open an explorer window and type %TEMP% in the address bar and record the directory where you end up

    thanks

    Danish

  • Danish

    Please see my answer below

    1. Check the environment variable TEMP by going to the computer -> properties->advanced->environment variables

    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp

    2. Open a cmd prompt and type set and check the value of TEMP

    C:\users\a0216005\LOCALS~1\Temp

    3. Open an explorer window and type %TEMP% in the address bar and record the directory where you end up

    C:\Users\a0216005\Local Settings\Temp

All of them ppinted toward the same directory.

    Thanks
    David

  • Hi David,

we are not completely sure if this could be a work around, and have not yet been able to reproduce this odd case but could you see if you can install if you change your temp variable to c:\windows\temp?

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Lisa

Yes, changing the temp variables enables successful installation of CCS. Thanks for the help.

    David

  • Hi David,

great very happy to hear!   Sorry again for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the update and all the best,

    Lisa

  • Hi,

I am getting the same error. I'm running Windows 7. I'll try the TEMP solution and post back with results.

    Thanks,

    Celsa

  • I did not work, I am attaching the log file

Seems installation fails when eclipserepo.zip is installing

    Celsa

  • Hi Celsa,

    a couple things

    - please open a new thread next time.  this could easily have fallen through the cracks

    - the logs we need are the ones in the installjammer registry directory.  this folder may be hidden and is under program files or program files(x86)

Note the most common issue is actually interference from antivirus.   This coming week we expect v5.5 to be released so you may be wise to wait and try fresh with v5.5

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
