Update SYS/Bios in CCS V5.3 fails

Hi,

Today I have tried to update the SYS/BIOS but it failed (please picture). Can anyone from TI tell me how to solve the problem?
(I hope this will not end up again with a new installation)

CCS Version: V5.3.0.00090

PS: Also Grace (MSP430)(IDE Client) fails. Same problem I think. Not needed so far...

    Hi Patrick,

    what current versions do you have installed?  You can see this is window->preferences->code composer studio->RTSC->products

    Could you try installing the latest version directly from the BIOS page?

    it seems you already have the latest version.   What exact error do you get?  Is there a specific version you are looking for?

    Hi Lisa,

    You are absolutely right! I have it already. But why the heck is CCS telling me that there is an update? For me that shows that the update functionality in CCS does not work as it should. And that is the point. We need a reliable solution otherwise its just useless. Back to your question: The error is shown in the picture in me first post of this thread. That's about it. Please just give us a reliable update functionality. That is all we need.

    HI Patrick,

    all I can say is that we are aware and appreciate such feeback.  For sure stable updates and installations are a high priority topic for us and we have a focus on this moving forward.  Unfortunately, as you are aware, it has not been a road without bumps.
