Make file not found after import CCS5

I have an issue with CCS import/export. I have a project that I want to move from one PC to another. I exported the project to a memory stick then imported it to the other computer using CCS import. I can see all the files from the import but when I go to build the project, I get a make file error saying theres' nothing to make.

Cannot run program "make": Launching failed

Error: Program "make" is not found in PATH

How do I get the make file to import?

Hi Bob,

can you please try the following

1 - zip the project rather than export

2 - import using project->import exsisting ccs/eclipse project

Hi Lisa,

I've tried it both ways (using an archive and not). Both ended up with the same result - all other files but no make file.

I tried following the instructions on the CCS wiki for import/export http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Project_Sharing but that doesn't follow what actually happens in CCS5 when you get to the import part as far as the choices. I got to a point where it wouldn't let me go any further.

I was able to FINALLY get up and running by creating a new project then dropping all the files in and reconfiguring the settings. Pretty much a PIA. I would hope Import would have worked better.

It would be nice to know how to generate or point to the correct make file so creating a new project is not required.
