Code Composer 5.1.1.00033 for Linux uses Windows debug command

Hi,

We are trying to debug u-boot in the following environment:

- Ubuntu 12.0 64 bit (needed to add the 32 bit libraries, sudo apt-get install ia32-lib)

- TI SDK 05.06.00.00

- Code Composer 5.1.1.00033 for Linux

- Blackhawk XDS560v2-USB System Trace Emulator

u-boot is imported and target configuration file is created. When I try to "Test Connection" I get the following error:

Why is Code Composer looking for the Windows version of the jtag debug executable (dbgjtag.exe)? Is there a quick fix for this?

You hit a known bug in CCSv5.1.x that was fixed only in CCSv5.2 (check this thread).

Unfortunately there is not an easy fix for that, other than using the newer release. You can always install the newer release in a separate directory, create a different workspace and migrate your projects step-by-step, just to make sure they will work correctly in the newer release (and therefore avoiding any disruptions in your current work).

Is there a way to uninstall the 5.1.x from Linux (Ubuntu 12.04)? I tried installing the latest 5.3, but it said it was incompatible and

the install stopped.
