Trying to update to biosmcsdk on my Windows-7 machine, and I receive the error below:

An error occurred while installing the items
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Install, operand=null --> [R]com.ti.biosmcsdk.2.1.2.5 2.1.2.5, action=com.ti.ccstudio.p2.actions.RunCommandAction).
Command failed.

Hi Vernon,

what CCS version are you running? Could you please send us the installation/update log? These would be found in the installjammer registry directory. I will may be hidden and can be found under program files or program files(x86).

Yes Lisa,

I was able to solve all my problems about 2-weeks ago. I had to remove everything on my PC at home and my Laptop. Reinstall everything, and make sure I use the correct port for the emulator on the evm6678. Once I did that, I'm now able to talk to my 5510, 5509a and 6678 boards. Of course I must use CCStudio v3.3 for my C5410 boards.

What is your dependency on CCSv3.3 in this case? CCSv5.3 supports C54x.

Hi Vernon,

I have the same problem you had (I'm using 6678 board), and I didn't understand what you did to fix it.
what did you remove from your PC? the CCS? drivers? and how did you reinstall them differently in order for it to work properly?
And which CCS version are you using?

Probably best to start a new thread. This one is 4 years old. Not sure on everyones status, plus the software and tools packages are likely much older.

Much has changed in the 4 years since this thread was created. The system is going to be locking old threads like this soon as replies to them get missed.

Lets start off with a few questions:
-what version of CCS are you using?
-Windows or Linux Host?
-is this an existing application you are picking up and need to maintain or is it something new? The reason I ask is that for C6678 development it is recommended to use the Processor SDK vs the MCSDK. www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-C667x

The error in Vernon's original post comes from attempting to use the Eclipse/CCS update manager to update the mcsdk. It is supposed to be possible to download the package outside of the update manager as well but all the links I have for that point to the new processor SDK. I tried using the update manager to install the new version, it finds it but I also get the RunCommandAction error in Vernon's message. I suspect that he went back and download the installer and ran it directly instead of using the update tool in CCS.

If you need to stick with the mcsdk I can reach out to the team that developed it and try to get a download link for the 2.1.2 version for C6678.
