Hi,
I set up a Beagleboard-xm running Adaneo's Windows CE7 BSP. I am trying to write an application which performs certain signal processing procedures on both the ARM processor and the DSP processor so that I can benchmark performance and eventually include this in a larger application which will be running in Windows CE7.
In Visual Studio 2008, I have a way to compile code targeted for the Beagleboard-xm ARM processor and the output is a .exe file which I can run on the Beagleboard-xm. Unfortuantely, it seems that compiling code in Visual Studio to access the DSP processor is difficult (please correct me if I'm wrong). This would lead me in the direction of CCS which I have no experience with.
All of the examples that I have seen for the Beagleboard-xm in CCS seem to involve a target running linux. Is there a way to use CCS to create a simple .exe that can be run from Windows CE7, and send commands to the DSP processor? Also, would it be a problem that this development would take place in CCS but the larger project will be developed in Visual Studio?
Thanks,
Avi
Avi,
Sorry for the delay; unfortunately I am not aware of any support for DSP when using embedded Windows, but you may want to ask this question in the WinCE forums at this link and get more educated answers from the experts there.

Rafael
