Preinclude file and indexer problem in CCS5

Hello everyone,

I am evaluating CCSV5. I use preinclude files in order to define or not some symbols. However, it seems that the indexer does not take in account those files and detects a lot of inactive code (#ifdef'ed greyed out code). This is a big problem for development.

Is there a way to make these preinclude files, part of the indexer scope?

I know that I can define symbols in compiler option, but I have a lot of them. I would be my last chance solution.

Thank you very much for your answers,

Sébastien

  • HI Sebastien,

how have you been including the files?  What errors do you experience?

    Have you seen this wiki?

  • Hi,

Sorry for late reply. I "preinclude the file" in the compiler option. I think this the reason of my trouble. I don't have "an error", I just mean that, because I "preinclude" the file and don't #include them, the indexer does not take them in account, neither the constant that I define in. As a result, I have a lot of "inactive code", so auto-completion or other editor functionnality does not work. Which is a huge loss of time when developping.

    Do you have a solution?

    Thank you a lot,

    Best regards,

    Sébastien

  • Hi Sebastien,

You are right. I see the same behavior - the indexer does not seem to take into account the preinclude files. I doubt there is a quick solution for this, but will check and let you know if I find anything.
