CCS5.3: Could not connnect to Cortex-M3VPSS in DM8168

Hi,

I use xds100v2 to connect EVMDM8168 board in CCS5.3. Now I could connect to Cortex-A8 and DSP successfully. But I could not find the Cortex-M3VPSS core in the debug window. I wonder if there is something wrong with the configuration file that I used. I attach it in the end. I just create a new configuration file and choose the emulator as "Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Emulator" and choose the board as DM8168.

So could someone know how to get the Cortex-M3VPSS core in the debug window and connect to it?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

I find a post at http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/196928.aspx which said that using TI814x configuration file the M3 core could be connected. But I could not find the TI814x or TI816x type when choose the board in the configuration file. Does anyone know that?Pls help me.

Thanks so much! Appreciate for your reply!

If you see the DM816x, I'm surprised you do not see the TI816x option. Could you try this ccxml file that is attached to this post?

    Thanks
