SC MC SDK Silent Install shows error message

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MATHLIB

Hi,

when I install the SDK with mode silent I get the following Error messages

it happens on the following components:

IMGLIB 3.1.1.0
DSPLIB 3.1.1.1
MATHLIB 3.0.1.1
SYSLIB 2.0.7.1

It only happens when it is installed remotly as SYSTEM

Any solution for this?

  • It seems like a permissions issue. Can you elaborate on how you invoke the install? Specifically, how do you run the installer to install it "remotely as SYSTEM"? Thx.

  • we use the Dell KACe for software distribution.

there is an agent installed on each client computer who runs with system permissions.

that agent downloads and starts the installation.

It works fine with every other programm.

  • Hi,

Could you please zip up the contents of c:\program files\installjammer registry\ccsv5 and attach them here? If you're running on 64 bit windows, the folder will be in "program files (x86)". It's a hidden folder and you may need to unhide it from explorer.

I need to look at the logs to verify, but it looks like your installation was completed successfully, even though it wasn't able to update the shortcuts.Your logs will also help us fix the problem for further releases.

    Thank you.

  • first the dir after ccs5 installation

I now get a similiar error when installing just ccs5.

maybe i am missing some prerequisites?

    5516.ccs5_installjammer.zip

second the dir after installation of the SDK

    7455.sdk_installjammer.zip

  • Hi Patrick,

    Thank you for your patience.

Firstly, we've released 5.4 beta, which is a lot more robust and gives more information, in case of an issue. I would recommend you try this installer, if possible. You will need to create new response files though as the components have changed.

I have a few questions for you, that may help us figure out the problem you're having:

    1. Have you unzipped the package completely? i.e. you're not running from within the zip file.

    2. Do you have junctions or links setup in either the the temporary folder where the installer zip is extracted, or in your %TEMP% folder, or in the installation folder?

    3. Could you send me all the *.log files that are in C:\ccs5\ccsv5\eclipse\configuration\?

    Thanks

    Danish Innis
