Problems with registering CCS

 Hello everyone.

I use C2000 and MSP430 Launchpad ,   and  I reinstalled  the CCS because it got problems.  But I dont  know what I have (or not) done during the installation   and  when I open the program It says that  it  coudnt find the license  and its unregistered.   How can I fix it   and register for using both Launchpads?

    Henrique,

    C2000 + MSP430 Launchpad is a bit if a tricky one as they use different models for free licenses.  Thus you are going to have to generate 2 licenses.

    Go to Help -> Code Composer Studio Licensing Information

    Click on the upgrade tab

    Click the Launch License Setup button (this will bring up the same dialog you would see the first time you launch CCS without a license)

    It should give you some options for free licenses.

    Select the one for Development kits / XDS100.  This will generate a license that will work with your C2000 Launchpad.

    Repeat the steps above and select the MSP430 code size limited license.  That is the license for your MSP430 Launchpad.

    Restart CCS.

    CCS should find the correct license when you launch the debug session for either LaunchPad.

    Hi Henrique,

    I would just like to mention another option would be two parallel installations with the two license types chosen for each one.  You can safely run the same ccs version in two separate directories.
