Linux Aware Debugging in CCS 5.x?

Dear all,

I've read that Linux Aware Debugging is not yet supported in 5.0 beta... I'm running version 5.3 at the moment... Is there any way to make it work?

Ivan,

Are you trying to debug a kernel module or a process?

In v5.3, you can successfully debug the Linux kernel. Debugging user mode processes is more tricky over JTAG and we would recommend process level debugging be done using gdb.

I'm trying to debug the kernel space. I'd like to see kernel threads and switch between context. Now I'm able to pause the running kernel and see the stack of the current context.

Ivan,

Unfortunately, CCSv5.x does not have the capability to view kernel threads and switch between contexts.
