Issues creating a new C project

Guru 20055 points

Hello,

After creating many projects, I just started having problems creating a simple C project this morning.  I am wonder if something changed in the last CCS update.

When I select  File->C project, The project types shown below don't look familiar.  My previous projects did not use GNU AutoTools.

Whats going on?

Stephen

GNU AutoTools

    -  Empty Project

    - Hello World...

    - Autotools ....

Exectutable (doesn't have anything to select)

Shared Library (doesn't have anything to select)

Static Library (doesn't have anything to select)

Makefile Project (doesn't have anything to select)

  • Hello,

Ok, I solved the problem,   I just needed to change perspectives from C/C++ to CCS Edit - I am not sure when I moved to that perspective.  Then I can choose to create a CCS project.

    however, I am still confused.

I believe I previously created a CCS Project, however, most of  my projects have a C icon on them and one of them has a CCS icon.  The issue may have been caused moving my projects from CCSv4 to CCSv5.3.  I have also been moving my project from one directory to another.

I believe I have been creating CCS Projects.

Why do some of my projects have the C icon and some have the CCS icon?

The ones with the C icon were likely created in CCSv4 and then imported in v5. New projects created in CCSv5 will have the CCS icon. As long as they were created using File->New CCS Project, they should all be CCS project type.
