CCS V5 Updating

I have a copy of CCS5 Version: 5.1.1.00031 which has been performing acceptably on Win7. I recently tried to update CCS and when I do, the update sequence generates an error dialog window containing:

"No repository found at file:/C:/Users................./lwrepo."

I have removed the full path above as it is long. The path does exist.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this so that I may update successfully?

Hi Mark

I always do a clean install of CCS, rather than updating. Takes a long time but is reliable.

But, I am not a CCS expert by any means.

Hi Mark,

I would reenforce what David said ... please just do a clean installation of the latest version to a new folder. There are many known issues with updating from such an old version.

Happy to attempt a fresh install.

Should I remove my current version first or simply install to a new directory ?

My licence is node locked. Will this be a problem? Can I use my original licence (file)?

Hi Mark,

you can simply use a new directory if you wish, no problems there ... also you can use the same license file : )
