As we release new versions of CCS, we include newer versions of components in them, such as the compiler tools, XDCtools and so on. As you can see in the warning messages, the project that you have imported and are trying to build was created with an older version of those components than the one in CCS 5.4. In many cases, this is ok, unless there is a specific reason you need to stick with the versions that the original project was created with.

Some SDK's come with their own versions of components such as XDCtools, SYS/BIOS etc, which may be different than the versions that come packaged with CCS. Examples in the SDK may work best when compiled with the exact versions that come with the SDK. You would need to check if there is such a requirement for the specific example you are importing. In those cases you can set the project properties to ensure that the desired versions of components are selected and used for the build.
