Problem with Graph scaling on CCS5.4

Hi,

i am doing signal processing on a C28345 processor and i need the Single Time Graph tool for my work. I open the graph window by right-clicking on a integer array in the "Expressions" View. I am having problems with the scaling of the vertical axis. The Graph seems to use a random value for scaling and cuts my graph on the top. I have tried right-click->Reset Autoscale on the graph with no effect. As autoscaling doesnt work properly i have tried to disable it (right-click->Auto Scale) but i cant find a way to set the graph scaling manually. In CCS3.3 there was a Graph property "Max Value" to set ste scaling right but i cant find this in CCS5.4.

Please help me with this because graphing is an essential Tool for my work!

Hi Michael,

There have been several issues reported against the CCS graphing feature, especially in regards to autoscaling. However your issue:

this I don't think I've seen. It should always scale so that all the immediate data can be shown in the graph. A screenshot and a small test case (including graph properties - exported to a file) would help a lot.

This is something we are looking to add back in. But it would be for CCSv6 timeframe.

I can confirm the symptoms Michael has reported. Sometimes my graphs are also cut off at the top.

I have found that is you open a second graph window onto the same data, then the graph autoscales correctly.

When I try to access the link mentioned in your thread, I get the error: "You don't have permission to access /ccs/non-esd/dvt/ccs5.4_graph_patch/ on this server."

Hi Ralph,

Are you trying to install the patch via the instruction Imtaz gave on the thread (about 7 posts in)? That is the only way to install it (you cannot simply try to download a file from the link from your web browser).
