TMS320C6x Evaluation Module

Hello,

I have just purchased TMS320C66x Evaluation Module and install DVD including code composer version

5.2.1.00018.

I followed all instruction inside the READ_ME file to install it properly.

Now, once I attempt to debug it says licence expired or I am using Unlicensed program.

Could you tell me what i should do?

Thank You.

  • Reza,

It can help to clearly identify the EVM you are using. The subject line has C6x, the text has C66x, and neither is clear as to which EVM you have purchased. Please tend toward extra information if you are not sure what we might need.

This is the C64x Multicore DSP Forum. Your device, if a C66x would be supported in the Keystone Forum, and this particular question belongs in the Code Composer Forum since it is not a device-oriented question but a CCS question. A Moderator will move this thread there for you this time.

Please go to the TI Wiki Pages and search for "CCS license" (no quotes) to find information on the types of licenses available. You will likely be using a free bundled license, but I cannot comment more clearly without the identification of the EVM and the emulator you are using.

[ed] By the way, there are newer releases of CCSv5 available, and you will want to be sure to check for updates through the CCS Help menu.

    Regards,

  • Hi Reza,

to add to Randys comments.  Please let us know the exact hardware kit you are using, and what license type you initially selected.   Also please clarify expired vs unlicensed?  I am not sure whether you have a purchased license or are hoping your kit might support our "free limited license" for the xds100 and certain evms with an on board mezzanine card.

You can reset the license under help->code composer studio licensing information->upgrade tab .. there should be a "launch license setup" button.

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
