trace buffer does not show the backtrace properly

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

we use CCS5.1.1 on C6657 based system, built using sysbios 6.34.4.22. We tried to use trace buffer to debug some real time exception problems without success. We have both XDS100v2 USB and BH XDS 560v2 STM USB.

We built a simple sysBios based example project (attached as zip on C6657 EVM), and narrowed it down. Please refer to the attached PPT file

1. I stopped seeing any trace in trace window using BH XDS560v2 suddenly. All I got is a blank trace window with a small error saying that I need to load code or symbol to see trace. It had worked before and I do not know what had mysteriously changed

2. I could see tracing in trace buffer. But what I see seems strongly depends on if source code is available to the project, the task context it is in, the module (sysbios or not). Please refer to the ppt for detail

3. Is there a setting I can change so that I can get the whole back trace stored in the ETB within the device displayed on the trace window?

thanks
