AETlib-halt_on_watchpoint example -tms320c6678

I can't get the cpu halted, when i dowload the halt_on_watchpoint.out to the target -tms320c6678 using the ccs5.3.0 -spectrum digital xds560v2 emulator.

AETLib_4.1 --examples -- halt_on_watchpoint

6678Release-halt_on_watchpoint.out

the program run to abort();and can't see the cpu halt ,

I also new a project for 6678,

set BRKEN = 0x2,

....

still can't work .

help.

Hi,

I have no issues running the same example (both debug and release versions) on a C6678 EVM. Please, make sure you have the right EVM GEL file for target initialization. Also, please try running the debug example and let me know if you have the same issues.

thanks for your verificaiton .,but I still cant see the cpu halted.

1. \aet_target_lib_src\aet\examples\halt_on_watchpoint\6678Debug

halt_on_watchpoint.out

2. evmc6678l.gel from the ..\ccsv5\ccs_base\emulation\boards\evmc6678l\gel and never change

Please help me.

Hi,

I think I found the root cause for the issues your are seeing at your end. Setting BRKEN = 0x2 from the scripting console is not the right way to write to the BRKEN register. Add BRKEN register to the Expressions tab and update the value of BRKEN from 0x0 to 0x2. This should fix the issue you are seeing at your end.
