Hello,

When performing an update through CCS5.3, I recevied a warning saying the following:

Warning: You are installing software that contains unsigned content. The authenticity or validity of this software cannot be established. Do you want to continue with the installation? C:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse\plugins\com.ti.ccstudio.p2.actions_5.2.0.201303071252.jar C:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse\plugins\com.ti.ccstudio.startupInstaller_5.4.0.201303071252.jar

Should I be concerned?

Hi Stephen,

no you should not be concerned. What Windows are you using? Does the update complete without issues?

Hello Lisa,

I am using Windows 7 64 bit service release 1.

There weren't any other warnings. However, I didn't see the newest compiler version (6.1.4) when I tried to create a new project.

However, I just noticed now that its downloading Code Composer Version 5 - which is strange since I already have version 5.3. Also, I just got an error saying the following:

An error has occurred. See error log for more details.

Hello Lisa,

Hi Stephen,

although it might of slipped through my search, I do not believe this might be filed bug.

However having said that ... a couple comments

- I would move to v5.4 regardless as it is always best to be on the latest version and give it a try.

- your other case is assigned to our simulation group. Hopefully they will be able to get you better/further feedback

Hi Stephen,

would you be able to send us the logs? Ususally you do need full permissions when installing.

The logs would be in the installjammer registry directory which may be hidden and will be under program files or program files(x86).

Code composer was running during the installation. Would that cause the issue?

Hi Stephen,

I saw you created another post ... please don't duplicate. I am getting our install team to digest the logs (thanks). If you ran the update through ccs, .... this would be normal. If you mean you tried to install over the old version ... this is definitely not good and I would recommend trying again will a full fresh v5.4 installation.
