Cannot add some files

I am trying to add some files to my project.  I have been able to add many files successfully, but there are a couple of files that when I try to add (either through add files.... copy file or add files.... link to files) I get a message box pop up that says it could not add the files.  I have been able to add many files in this way (I would prefer to link to them).

 

Any suggestions?

    Hi David,

    could you please expand on the error you see?  Is there something unique to the files giving you problems?  (ie could it be related to permissions in a certain directory, are you using version control and trying to pull in a checked out file, etc) 

    Perhaps some screen captures and or a sample file for us to try might help.

    As far as I can tell there is nothing special about the files.  They exist in the same directory and came from the same place in the same way that files I was able to add are. None of the files have been checked out of source control.

    Below is a picture of the error I am seeing.  I will try sending an example file to you privately.
