upgrading ccs : what happens to the license ?

I would recommend doing v5.4 as a fresh full installation.  You can simply point v5.4 to the same license/set it up the exact same way!  When it launches for the first time if id does not automatically find the license you are using, simply configure it as you currently have v5.3 configured.

So, basically I need to :

1. uninstall the current 5.3 version of CCS

2.  Fresh install 5.4

3. use the .lic file which I got from email for 5.4 , the same way I did for 5.3

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Hi,

you don't necessarily need to uninstall.  Just do not install to the same directory.   Yes, set up ccs the same way, use the same file.

I ffollowed the steps you gave, so far there is no error warning for th elicense.
