Moving CCS5.4 workspaces from one computer to another computer

Hello,

I work on two computers - a laptop and desktop.

What's the easiest way to tranfer my workspace form one computer to the other

    I have a similar question to this one. I have also 2 computers, desktop (Win7 x64) and laptop (Win7 x86). I am using ccs 6.1, and I'd like to be able to work in both computers. I have installed ccs in the laptop and my workspace is synced through MEGA (esentially the same as dropbox or google drive), so I have the workspace with the same files in both desktop and laptop. However, when i open ccs in the laptop and select the workspace i cant see any project. Am I missing something?

    The workspace may not contain the actual CCS project.   To correct the issue, select the copy project to workspace option while importing the project into the workspace.

    Please tell me if that works.

    Hi, and thanks a lot for your response.

    The project folder is inside the workspace, only some C source files are outside, but this isnt the problem. I just discovered that the MEGA client is ignoring files with a filename starting with a dot, so all the config of the workspace isnt actually synced. Now i just have to change that config, or if it isnt possible change to another cloud service. Problem solved.

    Just for everyone to know, i finally could make the workspace portable with MEGA through both computers:

    1)In both computers open MEGA configuration (tab advanced) and delete ".*" from the list of excluded filenames.

    2)Place under the shared folder the workspace and every linked resource from any project

    3)Make all links relative to workspace folder

    Apparently its possible to open the workspace in ccs in both computers at the same time, as the sync stops when MEGA detects that the files are being used. I dont recommend it because there are file conflicts when the sync starts again.
