Failure upgrading from CCS 5.3 to 5.4

Hello:

I'm having a problem upgrading from CCS 5.3 to 5.4.  It basically fails immediately saying "Unable to access http:/software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sd0_ccstudio/CCSv5/CCS5.4.0.00091_win32.  Check your settings and try again".  I've done an unistall/reinstall of 5.3 and tried again and it still fails in the same manor.  I can install other updates, (compilers, etc).  Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.

    have you tried again since in case of a server glitch?  You seem to have a long installation history.  Would you be willing to clear out the old attempts/installations and do a full fresh installation of v5.4?

  • I've tried 3 times in the last 2 days.  Two times with fresh installs of 5.3.

    Yes, I'm willing to clear out the old.  What's the process?

  • Hi Steve,

    The update is having a problem accessing the web for dependencies - it's getting an "access denied" error.

    Access Denied by security policy
    The security policy for your network prevents your request from
    being allowed at this time.  Please contact your administrator if
    you feel this is incorrect.

    Your best bet is to download the full 5.4.0 installer package and do an offline install. You should be able to do any other updates from eclipse, except for target content udpates as they have to access the web as well.
