Hi TI:

When Loading CodeComposer on my Windows 7 / 64 Bit machine, the Install freezes on Extras.Zip.

The Error Log looks like:

couldn't open "F:/windows/baserepo/extras.zip": permission denied while executing "::InstallJammer::actions::$component $this" while executing "$obj execute" (procedure "::InstallJammer::ExecuteActions" line 69) invoked from within "::InstallJammer::ExecuteActions $action -parent $id -conditions $eval" (procedure "::InstallJammer::actions::ExecuteAction" line 35) invoked from within "::InstallJammer::actions::$component $this" while executing "$obj execute" (procedure "::InstallJammer::ExecuteActions" line 69) invoked from within "::InstallJammer::ExecuteActions $action -parent $id -conditions $eval" (procedure "::InstallJammer::actions::ExecuteAction" line 35) invoked from within "::InstallJammer::actions::$component $this" Error in action ExecuteAction

When I look for "F:/windows/baserepo/extras.zip"... It does not seem to exist on the DVD.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rick,

I would not install off of a cd. There are a couple reasons. One is that usually these are older versions and also there are at times flaky connections when multiple drives get involved in an installation.

Could you please try/do a couple things

1 - please send the installation logs (these are in the installjammer registry directory. this folder may be hidden and is under program files or program files (x86).

2- please try to download the full installer from this link and unzip and install locally to a simple directory like c:/myccs

Hi Lisa:

I found the "c:\program file (x86)\InstallJammer Registry\" directory.

Everything in this directory is another SubDirectory, was there a particular directory that you wanted me to look at and send to you?

Lisa's right, older CCS versions will not install off a CD/DVD due to this extras bug. Please copy the installation package on to a local hard drive with write permissions.

Lisa,

I have the identical problem, with the identical error messages in my installation logs (with the exception that my DVD drive is E). The install gets hung up trying to open the nonexistent extras.zip.

I am trying to load CCS V5.3 which I bought as a CD a week ago, since my internet connection does not do well with long downloads. Should I copy the entire installation CD to a subdirectory and try installing it that way?
