Make custom perspectives available in several different workspaces

Hi everyone,

After a long search I was not able to find information about the possibility to make custom perspectives available in several workspaces.

I created custom ones on a workspace A. When I switch to a workspace B, the perspectives created in workspace A are not available, they don't even appear on the list of available ones.

Is there a way to be able to do that ? If so how ?

Or are there some files I should copy into my other workspaces in order to be able to have the same environment if I want to ?

Hello,

Custom perspectives are part of the workspace preferences. Hence why you lose them when you switch worspaces. You can export your workspace preferences to a file and then import them into a new workspace. This would import all the preferences in the other workspace, including any custom perspectives.

See the last 2 sentences in the paragraph for option number 3 in the below link (under 'General IDE') on instructions on how to export/import workspace preferences:
