Error log

After starting CCS 5.3.0.00090, it displays the list of errors, refer attached file.

The same version of CC5 was working fine for the past three-four months and I have not upgraded it as well.

Could you please suggest a remedy or comment on the implications of such errors.

  • Hi Riar,

does ccs hang or crash or simple show errors?  Does this happen with all workspaces?

is it possible for you to follow this wiki, capture a crash and send us the error logs and importantly the dump files

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCS

The dump files (if possible) are most imporant followed by any hs_err logs

  • Hi Lisa,

It does not crash and simply shows the error file. Well, I have checked that with a different workspace it shows the errors again. I have attached a new error.log file for the new workspace.

I believe that the link in your last email is not relevant in this case, as the CCS is not crashing.

  • Hi Riar,

is this affecting your use of ccs at all?  I understand this is an error that pops up but my appologies if it is not clear to me whether this is preventing/affecting your use scenario.   Sometimes there are errors that can be safely ignored.

One of the only things we have been able to spot so far is that the logs seem to indicate ccs is installed in a non-writable directory.  This may be one things triggering this.   One thing you can check/try is deleting the C:/engdfs/Home/bria001/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.8_563040773 directory.  This is created if eclipse can't write to its install directory.

  • Hi Riar,

just thought I would check whether there were any updates with your enquiry.

  • Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the email. As you have mentioned in your previous email that this could be an error without any performance issues. It appears that this error is not creating any conflicts with the compiling process and CCS seems to be working fine.

I have discussed this issue with our IT team and they suggested two alternatives: re-image the operating system or reinstall the CCS. As both of these options results in a downtime and, anyway, CCS seems to be working fine, I will revisit this issue in a near future.

    Regards,

    Riar
