CCS compile warning

Hi,

When compiling, I got the warning.... "variable myPwr" was

What does it mean? Do I need to take care of this warning?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

The warning message is incomplete, I think that it is one of these two warnings:

warning #179-D: variable "foo" was declared but never referenced
warning #552-D: variable "foo" was set but never used

If it's one of these, it just means that the variable is not being used. Just check your code and verify if you didn't forget to use it somewhere.

But search around (mainly in the Code Composer Forum) to discover why the message is not shown completely. When you see the full message, you will be able to know if it's dangerous or not.

  • That does appear to be some sort of display problem in CCS.  If you look in the Console view, you can see the full diagnostic.  In this Problems view, a double-click on the diagnostic opens that file in the editor, with the cursor on that source line.

    Thanks and regards,
