CCS5.3 and Sourcesafe

I've just installed CCS5.3.0 and I'm trying to integrate Sourcesafe, but have been unsuccessful so far.  I have it running on CCS4.2.3, but it seems support stops at this version.  

Has anyone been able to install the Sourcesafe plug-in with CCS5.3.0, and if so how?

    Hi,

    I personally don't use Sourcesafe, but did you try the latest release of the VSS plugin available at sourceforge?

    The author says it supports up to release Europa (Eclipse 3.3) but CCSv5 is beyond that release, therefore it may not work. SourceSafe itself seems to have been discontinued or de-emphasized from Microsoft, thus this may explain why the plug-in was not updated.

    Unfortunately we can't do much in this regard, as both the plug-in and the technology do not belong to us.
