Hi,
I installed CCS from the DVD shipped with Hercules RM48 board. Its version:
Version: 4.2.4.00033
I'm trying to update it. Update tool seems to be downloading files in a strange way. It's super slow on my very fast connection. The progress meter, which typically shows Mb/s or kb/s shows ... count of individual bytes downloaded. Is it just a counter, or is it really downloading stuff in 1-byte chunks at a time?
Anyway - after fetching several files I got a error message from below:
Network connection problems encountered during search.
Unable to access "http://www.blackhawk-dsp.com/updates/ccsv42".

This site doesn't work at all, even when accessed with a browser.
So I clicked "OK" and it showed some stuff to update after all:
But after that I get a failure with "Access denied' to some .exe files.
I have permissions to do anything on this computer, including installing programs, i.e.: installing CCS was done from my account, and I had permissions to write to C:\Program Files(x86)\, so not sure why it's showing "Access denied"
