GUI Composer Runtime error

Hello all,

I am using the GUI composer in CCS v5.4 and I am trying to export a simple interface. Everything works fine until I try to run it and it gives me the following error:

After exporting the interface, i am extracting the content of the .zip file into the c:\ti\guicomposer\webapps\blink"      folder and I try to run "launcher.exe". I am using the eZdsp F28335 hardware.

Also if I want to open the project in CCS GUI compser, the app.html file does not load anymore. It just hangs there with the "Loading" text displayed.

Any ideas why this is happeneing?

    Hi Radu,

    What version of GUI Composer runtime are you using? Can you attach the zip file that you have exported to this thread? You can remove the .out file if you don't wish to post it publicly in this forum.

    Hello Patrick,

    I downloaded the GUI Composer Runtime for CCS 5.3 or higher.

    I am attaching the output .zip archive created when i exported it. The GUI was only controlling the blink time for a led on the eZdsp board.

    Hi Radu,

    You need to use GUI Composer Runtime for CCS5.4, it should be posted in the wiki. The wording on the wiki page is incorrect, it should be "... CCS5.3 RC1 and lower".

    Regarding the busy spinner when you open the app in the designer. Can you explain what steps you do when you try to open the app.html? Did you re-import the app into the designer? Can you take a screen capture of CCS and post it in this thread?

    Hi Patrick,

    I am downloading the newer Runtime now.

    Here you have a capture of the spinner:

    The gui project remains "under" the Projects group, so i am just trying to start it from there. and it remains like this. However, if i run a debug session, and I click on the "Preview" button the interface loads and I can use it. The only thing is that I cannot change it in any way. I just have to build it over again if I want to add or take something out of it.

    As you can see this project is called IM, because i gave up on trying to export the led blinking project. However, they all remain like you can see in the picture above.

    It looks like your project may have been corrupted or you have imported an existing zip file that contains all the source within a sub-folder. In CCS5.4, when importing a zip file, the files need to be at the root of the zip file. This issue has been corrected in CCS5.5, the files can be in a sub-folder. Try to delete the project by clicking on the red X button, exit CCS to make sure there is no cached data by the browser and re-import the project that you attached in this thread.
