Problem renaming CCS v5.3.0009 project

HI,

I need to change the name to have  both the original and

the renamed projects, but when I try this CCS v5.3.00090

shows and error and don´t change the name

Is there some way to solve this issue? or maybe another way to rename it.

Thanks in advance.

Julian

  • Hi Julian,

I have recently been working another case with questions about renaming projects.  I use v5.4 and have been able to successfully rename many projects.

    Have you

    1 - checked permissions

    2 - tried in a fresh workspace

    3 - tried v5.4

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Lisa,

I just tried 1) a fresh workspace and with 3) CCS  v5.4, the result is the same.

About permissions I don´t know if you refer to Windows XP(what I am using)

permissions or any other kind of permissions, could you explain this?.

  • Hi Julian,

this is odd and as mentioned is not something I was ever really able to reproduce.  I have seen one case where a customer had to manually go to the project folder and in the folders properties uncheck read only.

This is the only thing I have experienced in with v5.4    Are you using any revision control system that might be interfering?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

I am not using version control.

I tried with a new project and renaming works well but it seems

that doesn´t work with the one I imported from mcsdk folder for some reason, I even copied that project

to workspace folder and it doesn´t rename properly . I also tried  to changing folder´s permissions and the behaviour is the same.

Meanwhile I going to be working without renaming the project so I going to close the other that I am not using.

    Regards

    Julian

  • Hi Julian,
