Thanks for checking in. Billy sent me info on how to switch back and forth between CCS V4 and CCS V5.
Went back to CCS V4 and built, linked, loaded and ran exact C++ code. It worked excellent.
Returned to CCS V5 and got same results. the code expands much bigger than the MPS430F233 chip's 8K but loads and runs the first 20-30 lines of code for initialize. Then, hits all 0xFF memory. Again, no CCS errors ever shown.

Hi Jerry,
I am wondering whether this could be the compiler version.
Could you please check which compiler version is being used in each case?
In v5.4 you can go to window->preferences->code composer studio->compiler and see what versions are installed. It is here you are also able to add the older version from your v4 installation.
Best regards,
Lisa
Lisa,
thanks for asking.
Got the process and code to be able to switch USB interface box between CCS V4 and CCS V5.
Reinstalled CCS V4 and it works fine with the code.
Still can not get CCS V5 to build, load and run. No errors shown but it only loads a few of the text cells and the rest are still 0xFF. Have given up on trying to solve the problem myself. Need help with some solution. Billy has requested memory load printouts.
I would still like to go to V5 permanently and not use V4.
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
ok, thanks for the update. Are you happy to continue with Billy then? Do you see the same with all projects/workspaces? Or can you work with a built in example?
Best Regards,
Lisa
Lisa,
Billy is several days in responding and am not sure he is ready to take over my computer and solve the problem. That is what I think it is going to take. Will you be willing to do that?
If so, I am ready. Phone is 256 527-7731 and you have my email. site is jerry@game-finder.com
Hi Jerry,
I am willing to at least try a live/webex debug session with you. When are you available? What time zone are you? I am EST based. I could offer 3pm EST today yet, or tomorrow 10am or 1:30pm for example. Feel free to let me know and we can get setup offline.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Just read my emails. Can we do this Monday or Tuesday? You set the time. I am in Alabama on Central time.
Hi Jerry,
would 11am EST (10am your time) Tuesday work? Why don't we connect offline regardless to set this up. My ID is a link you can use for a conversation/friendship request.
Best Regards,
Lisa
11AM EST Tue is fine. My phone is (256) 527-7731.
Not sure on how to use your ID to link with you. Will wait for your call to me.
Hi Jerry,
I will set aside the time and setup a conference dial in and webex. I will send you a friend request to continue offline.
Best Regards,
Lisa
