When was --output_file/-fe introduced?

Quick question to save me trawling through the internet looking for old manuals - when was the --output_file/-fe option introduced? Ideally I'd be interested to know the compiler versions it can be used with, but if you could give me the CCS version then I could look up the compiler versions so that would be helpful too.

For those reading along, this is about the compiler's --output_file option; the linker has an option with the same name.

The option "--output_file" was introduced (but hidden) in:

ARP32	1.0.0B1
C2000	5.0.0B1
C6000	6.1.0B1
MSP430	2.0.0B1
TMS470	4.4.0B1

The alias "-fe" was introduced:

ARP32	1.0.0B1
C2000	6.0.0B1
C6000	7.2.0B1
MSP430	4.0.0B1
TMS470	4.8.0B1

Quick subsequent question - do these compiler versions match up with a particular version of Code Composer Studio? If so, could you let me know which one? Thanks.

Not really; the compiler version is mostly independent of the CCS version. Of course each CCS version ships with a certain version of the compiler, but I don't have that mapping.
