The user operation is waiting for "Migrating legacy project" to complete screen in ccs 5.3.0

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

A new screen pops out in ccs 5.3.0 when I start to Debug by saying "The user operation is waiting for "Migrating legacy project" to complete "

I have waited few times for a while but it never came back..I hit the stop signs but they are not helping as well..

 back.

  • HI Kerem,

did you import the project before debugging?  If so, how did you import?  What version was your original project in?  Can you explain a bit further the context here?

    Normally a v3.3 project needs project->import exsisting ccsv3.3 legacy project.  A v4 or v5 project from a previous version needs project->import existing ccs/eclipse project.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

Yes, I imported the project. It is an example TI project in ControlSuite under f2803x/v127/DSP2803x_examples_ccsv5/spi_loopback. I imported it through Existing CCS Ecclipse Projects.

Importing to a new workspace resolved the problem. But whenever I go back to the old workspace and try to open another projects which was working before, it gives me the same warning and then do not respond.

  • Hi Karem,

sorry I am still not completely clear.   Do you mean the fresh workspace only works one time?  Or do you mean some projects import and some don't?  Is there anything common to the projects that don't import properly?  Are they from an older ccs version?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Thanks Lisa,

I went through all the projects and figured out that there was a project that I imported from the older versions. This old version of project was the cause of the problem. I deleted the older version project and the rest of the projects run smoothly without any warnings and waiting time.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Karem,

great, very glad to hear you isolated the problem.

Thanks for the update and all the best with development.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa
