CCS v5.4 installation failure

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi,

I am trying to install CCS v5.4 on my desktop but the installation keeps crashes. I've tried to install it online and offline, and I also disabled my antivirus software. Nothing worked... Could anyone please help me see what the problem is here? I have attached my log file. My desktop is win7 system. 6866.ccs_setup_5.4.0.00091_install.logThanks very much.

Best,

  • Hi Zhuo,

could you clean out your previous attempts and logs.  Please try again double checking permissions and antivirus.    The full installer is best and is not the large button on the download site but a touch further down.

If this clean attempt fails, please send in the new logs.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

I increased the user handle quota size and GDI handle quota size of my system, cleaned up previous files, restarted my computer and tried to install again. Now it works. I suppose it was probably related to insufficient memory space. Thanks for your answer and have a nice day!

  • Hi Zhuo,

You have a lot of disk space on your machine, but eclipse is complaining about not enough space:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
    session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
Error closing the output stream for osgi.bundle,com.ti.ccstudio.branding,5.3.0.201304301100 on repository file:/C:/ti/ccsv5/eclipse/.
Caused by: java.io.IOException: Error unzipping C:\Users\PICSlab\AppData\Local\Temp\com.ti.ccstudio.branding_5.3.0.201304301100705142689908881520.jar: Not enough storage is available to process this command

Can you please see if you have a share or something and are running out of space?

    thanks

    Danish
