CCS 5.4 Install Error, InstallJammer attached

Win7 x64, fresh install, no nVidia. I've tried both the offline and web installer, no luck.

  • Hi Nicholas,

    did you disable antivirus?

Also, have you made multiple attempts?   This could have an effect.    The offline installer is actually a bit further down from the large button on the download site.

Also, one other thought, would you be able to try on a different user account?  I am also curious if the - in the user account could be a culprit.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • I've disabled as much as I could. There's some remains of McAfee lingering around that I haven't been able to get rid of, but I've disabled the Symantec Endpoint Protection that's installed. I don't have much control over that, although I haven't had issues with previous versions on other machines. I downloaded and tried both installers that are in the table (not the big button).

I'll try to see if I can find someone else to login to this machine and attempt to install it.

Anything else I should try in the meantime?

  • Another user and another computer, same thing.

  • Hi Nicholas,

I have been running the logs and your case by a few colleagues now as well.  One of the only things we could find so far is if your posting is related to this:

https://forums.oracle.com/thread/1239778 that suggests the user set JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS to blank.

Would you be able to try to do that while doing the install?

  • That did the trick. I removed that environment variable and everything installed as it should.

Thank you for your prompt help!

  • Hi Nicholas,

great, glad to hear. That's what we're here for.

Thanks for the update and all the best with development.
